Pownce Gets New Features
Pownce, my new favorite web instant messaging service (yeah, I still think that’s what it is), has been improved with several new features; nothing groundbreaking, mind you, but nice enough.
First, we now get inline video playback and inline image previews, which means you can check out those vids and images right there in Pownce without opening a new window. Secondly, users will now get upcoming event notifications, which gives Pownce somewhat of a general-purpose Last.FM feel.
Also, user profiles now display your social networking profiles, and you get several more customization options. Check out the details on the new Pownce features here.
Out of these, I particularly like the upcoming events notifications. In the hundreds of messages I receive daily it’s sometimes hard to catch events, and this is a great way to see what’s ahead.
