Get paid to create Mahalo search results
Jason Calacanis’ search engine, Mahalo, is built by humans. This means that some guy or girl was directly responsible for creating the results for a certain search query; if no one did that, Mahalo will simply display search results by Google. The question until now was, how the hell are they going to get enough people to do all these results? After all, there is a lot of search queries out there.
Well, here’s how: Mahalo Greenhouse is a project which involves anyone who wants to create search results for Mahalo; and, you even get paid to do it: 10 - 15 bucks per search result, the amount depending on the number of links in your result. Read the FAQ here.
I don’t know about you, but to me this sounds more and more like a for-profit Wikipedia. And I’m not sure that’s a bad thing, either.
