Tripbase.com - Travel Your Way
Having trouble deciding where to take your next trip? With Tripbase, you just enter the qualities of the type of trip you’re looking for and they present you with a list of possible options fitting your entry. There are lots of discriminators possible to use to select exactly the kind of trip you want. The first basic qualities you must rate in importance on a sliding scale include the importance of nightlife, dining, shopping, nature, and attractions on your trip.
If you’d rather go to a place off the beaten track, you can select to see less touristy options. You can select the country you’re looking for, what kind of budget you have, the kind of weather you’d like to enjoy, the tourist season, and the dates and duration. The list of results that pops up based on your selection includes the average cost of flight from your departure city, the typical cost per day on a budget, and the population of the city.
Once you’ve decided to check out a location in more detail, a bunch of other information becomes available as a popup screen. You can find articles on the place of interest, photos via flickr, the typical weather year round, various places of interest and their respective sites, travel guides, and links to places you can arrange for flights, hotels, and car rental. What’s cool with the rental sites is that they find you the best deals based on budget saving site Kayak, and you don’t have to enter your trip details once again. If you don’t particularly find yourself needing to go to the place you just checked out, there are still other cities for you to check out to find the place that’s just right for you.
In their own words:
“Tripbase is a travel website that gives you unbiased recommendations
about where to go on your next trip based on what you like.” Find out
