FlickrVision - see Flickr photos appear on a map in real time

The guy who brought us TwitterVision, Dave Troy, did the same thing for Flickr, and called it FlickrVision. The premise is the same: it’s a Flickr/Google Maps mashup which shows new Flickr photos on a map in real time, as they appear.

FlickrVision

It uses the geographical data from Flickr to do this; it could most probably be done with any service with geo data and an open API. At the moment, the service has certain quirks, as the enlarged versions of the images don’t appear quickly enough, but it can probably be fixed with some minor tweaks.

Here’s an idea for Dave: if Digg ever includes the location data for user profiles in its API (it doesn’t at the moment), make one for Digg. It will be really cool.
