According to a report from Ars Technica and Wall Street Journal, Joost has signed a deal with CBS, which is their second deal with a media powerhouse (after the deal with Viacom), but a first one with a major US broadcaster.
When we first heard about Joost everyone thought about it as competition to YouTube, but now it seems to be more: a competition to television. The media giants seem to like it, and while YouTube is having problems with lawsuits, Joost is happily licensing more and more content - not to mention that their content actually looks great.
