Tom’s Hardware sold; rumored price $15 - $20 million
Omid Rahmat, CEO of Tom’s Publishing LLC, has confirmed the recent rumors on the acquisition of TG Publishing, the publisher of popular hardware news & reviews website, Tom’s Hardware Guide. In a letter to the Inquirer, Rahmat has confirmed only this one essential point, refusing to give details on the price.
However, the rumor mill is working, and currently the consensus is that TG Publishing has been sold for a sum of between $15 million to $20 million. The buyer is unknown, but PaidContent has thrown in a possible name for good measure - French B2B tech media company BestofMedia Group.
Tom’s Hardware is one of the biggest hardware sites out there, known for its in-depth reviews and occasional accusations of bias - which happen to all big hardware sites, anyway.

Nice post on Tom’s Hardware sold; rumored price $15 - $20 million, simple and too the point :), On a related topic if i need to get data I use python for simple html extracting data, but for larger projects like the web, files, or documents i tried http://www.extractingdata.com which worked great, they build quick custom web scrapers, extracting data, and data parsing programs

The GPBUSD price tested the 1.6144 resistance target and reversed. The pair is back down, looking to test the 1.6101 low for the day. A break below will target lower levels with the 1.6088 low for the week and the 1.6076 low from last week as the obvious next targets. Longer term a more substantial move lower can not be ruled out given the break back below the 200 day moving average today.

The EURUSD has broken below the low floor at the 1.4066 level reaching a low at 1.4054 but has pushed back toward the break level (1.4066 ). The quick reversal is not necessarily the best reaction for the bears. However, risk remains up to the 100 bar MA on the 5 minute chart which comes in at the 1.4085 level (and moving lower - blue line in the chart above). We should see sellers against the level with stops above the moving average level.

Just wondering if any active traders are starting to trade the ETFs? After reading the book by Larry Connors - High Probability ETF Trading - I switched and I would say overall my results have improved but there are fewer trading opportunities because of the small number of ETFs he writes about. ETFs seem to be a little less erratic in their price movement so that’s good but some of them have poor results using the systems he describes in the book.
