Quick news: Twitterholic, Megabuzz, Ventbox

Is Twittermania ever going to end? Not anytime soon. Another new Twitter-related tool, Twitterholic, keeps a top list of users who post on Twitter most often. The list itself brings no surprises - Leo Laporte reigns supreme in the world of Twitter, while Robert Scoble is a distant second (at over 1500 posts, it’s time to seek professional help, maybe).

From the buzz-tracker department comes Megabuzz, a nicely, although somewhat confusingly designed service which lets registered users add content, in the form of simple polls with questions on future events. Users then answer the polls, and if they’re correct, they get points. One lucky user drawn in a lottery-type contest every week can exchange his points for real money. It’s quite a fresh and interesting approach to buzz tracking/trend prediction, but since it’s somewhere between lottery and betting, I’ll skip it. If this your cup of tea, feel free to try it out.

Lastly, Ventbox is a simple rant site, which lets you pick a topic (on Ventbox they’re called targets) and then say why you’re annoyed with it. It’s fun for exactly 14 seconds.
