This has frustrated me many times. Netvibes, my favorite customizable personal portal, allows 1 to 4 user columns for arranging your content. However, I keep forgetting where the setting for changing the number of columns actually is. I keep checking under “Settings”, but it’s not there, and it always takes me quite a while to remember where this option is, so I decided to write it down for all of my readers and for the sake of my sanity.

It’s under the tab options. Click the tiny down-pointing arrow in the currently selected tab, and it’s there, together with the options for sharing the entire tab in the Netvibes Ecosystem, and setting up an icon for your tab.
