YouTube goes mobile, hands over user info
Yahoo! News reports on Nokia’s new partnership with YouTube. The two companies will work together to bring video content to mobile phones. Maybe this will be the big mobile content breakthrough everyone was predicting for 2007 (and 2006, and basically every year since 1995).
In essence, what this boils down to is that YouTube will launch a mobile-friendly version of the site: YouTube mobile, and this should be happening soon.
In other news, Fox asked YouTube to deliver data on a user that uploaded the latest episodes of “24″ to the service, and YouTube complied. This means that YouTube will soon stop being the site to see a horrible-quality chopped-up-in-15-clips previews of your favorite TV shows, and that this prestigious title will go to some other video-sharing site.
