Josiane or how to make a perfect meme
I’ve just stumbled upon the latest Internet meme - I Love Josiane. Some guy posted pictures of a girl named Josiane on his blog every day for a year, and in the end made a video of it. I’m not sure if the author wants to monetize this or it’s simply an art project, but I guarantee the site will be well visited.
Now, how can I be so sure that the meme will be successful? Because the girl in question, Josiane, has a face you can look at forever and never get sick of it. I’m not an expert on viral marketing or memecrafting, but I’m pretty sure that many people will be mesmerized with Josiane although they don’t know who she is or what she does. I guess the moral of this story is: when the camera really, really loves you, you don’t need much of anything else to make the perfect meme.
