I’ve just checked out an old project called Writesomething, which was basically a social content site with users contributing with their own articles. It seems that the concept of the site has thoroughly changed.
The site is now even simpler than before: it consists only of a long wrap of text, to which everyone can contribute. The author calls this a senseless, endless, interactive book. It’s really simple and participation doesn’t require any registration, and it hasn’t really picked up yet with only a page of text, so you can be one of the first to be a part of this fun project.
The concept is so liberal that it even lets the users fill in the “about” page, however I happen to know that the author of this site is also the guy behind skarabej.com, the online museum of old family photos, which is another interesting and a bit surreal web 2.0 project.
