One important one that you missed out! StartForce! Its Great! Easy to use, Firefox Support, and it has tonnes of themes!(including a vista like one.) Its free and has loads of apps to use. Web Based (No popups!) Ad is easy to setup!

Some mentioned the main problem for Admins is to keep all of there systems up-to-date. This of course could be the main advantage the web oses. What we need is a stripped down version of a web browser, that…
1. Only accesses the one web site
2. Has no plug-ins (except those needed).
3. has Small foot print, low RAM requirements.
4. has no added features like tabs.
5. In fact, you don’t need bookmarks, location bar, preferences, etc., etc., etc.

With something like that, there would be no reason to ever upgrade the computer’s software, OS, or hardware.
