Hey, I’m Time’s person of the year. Wanna bet?

Time’s person of the year is You. Yes, that means the all-new, social-networking, frantically-blogging, web 2.0-enabled you. It means your ugly little MySpace page, your funny YouTube home video, and your ‘first post!’ comment on a Digg submission.

Yes, the mainstream media has (finally) recognized the strength of the Web 2.0 phenomenon, and although many are already bored with it and are looking forward to the elusive Web 3.0, Time isn’t all that much too late on this one. A year, maybe two; but one has to admit that this is the year when the silent boom became a loud explosion; when having a blog about Web 2.0 is writing about too broad a subject, and when following all the new Web 2.0 services has become a full-time job.
