One third of imprisoned journalists are bloggers
More and more journalists end up in jail for their work every day. There are currently 134 imprisoned journalists all over the world, 49 of which are bloggers and Internet journalists. Is blogging real journalism or not, you ask? Well, the jail is certainly real.
As reported by CPJ (Committee to Protect Journalists), 134 journalists all over the world are imprisoned because of their work, which is an increase of 9 since last year. What you would call “regular journalists” - print reporters, editors, and photographers are still the largest category with 67 cases of imprisonment, however, it’s interesting that Internet journalists are now imprisoned in 49 cases, which is over one third of the overall number.
This means that, although some (especially the traditional media) still don’t perceive bloggers and rogue journalists as real journalists, the absolutist governments and regimes definitely see them as a threat. On top of that, it’s probably easier for them to imprison bloggers because the public outcry is far less than when a renowned journalist is jailed.
China, Cuba, Eritrea and Ethiopia lead on this sad list with 31, 24, 23, and 18 cases of imprisonment respectively. If you’re wondering, US also made the list, with one journalist in detention at the infamous Guantanamo Bay. You can read about each of the cases in detail here.

Well, if you are looking for your own vacation home, there’s a really nice place in Rehoboth Beach. I stayed there one summer and it’s just perfect. It’s a very roomy three bedroom home with a deck and all the trimmings.
It’s close to route 1 and right down the street from the outlet stores, where you could do all your tax free shopping. But, it’s far enough away where you don’t have to deal with resort traffic. And there’s plenty of parking to invite your friends from the city for a weekend down at the shore.
Rehoboth Beach is only two miles away, so you could work on your tan every morning. There’s an amusement park and arcades right on the boardwalk to keep the kids occupied so you can have some time to yourself.
The city is clean and crime-free, with lots of great restaurants go have lunch and dinner. All the kids attractions close down after ten o’clock, but the bars stay open until one in the morning. There is nothing quite like going out with all your friends, and finishing your night sitting on the sand and staring out into the ocean.
Best part about this place is that it has a mother in law suite with a separate entrance. The suite has its own kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. So you could pay your mortgage by renting it out, while still having a place to call your own.
I really wish I could buy this place myself. The owners are retiring and want to travel. And you won’t find anyone else willing to part with a place like this at that price. But I got laid off recently, which put an end to my plans of acquiring this place.

Yesterday I was in the river market in kcmo and I happened to stop by an old friend over at gragg advertising. Anyways I was just impressed at the look and feel of the building. Really modern and fresh looking place to work. Inflation of 4pc isn’t necessarily a bad thing for a while. It will ensure that there isn’t too much money sloshing around in the system, and will curb financial risk taking. Not to mention that the cost of living has dramatically decreased over the last 20 years, a little rise will not do us much harm.

2. It’s hard to even have some free time to surf the net this days with this economy going on to nowhere good apparently, I was thinking to get some loans but the banks are not so easy on them this days. Anyway, with all this day to day troubles that lead to nowhere at least I came across a nice read.
