AMD’s 4×4 platform is finally available to reviewers, and the reactions are pretty positive

4×4 is basically two dual core Athlon 64 FX-70 CPUs, working on a Socket 1207 n680 motherboard, which is seemingly a reworked version of an Opteron workstation motherboard.

Without further ado, go read the review here. Personally, I like the results, but I don’t like the fact that it’s a powerhungry, extremely hot beast. Sorry, AMD - I’m still looking at n680i motherboard + Core 2 Quad combination as my dream computer.
